What’s the difference between interior designers and interior decorators?

Interior design is the art and science of understanding people’s behavior to create functional and artistic spaces within a building, while interior decorating is the furnishing or adorning of a space with decorative elements to elevate the interior design.  We do both!

As interior designers we are careful to start each project by obtaining the appropriate context from our clients.  Thereafter, we build the interior design by custom forming the interior features and selecting the fixtures and finishes.  Once the design is developed to industry standards and local codes we draft up the drawings and specifications so the design intent can be communicated to and built by the contractor. Afterwards, we advocate for our clients and their custom design during construction, taking pride in our process – cultivating respectful, collaborative, and productive relationships with everyone involved.  

How much does it cost?

We offer custom flat rate design values for each project, providing our clients with detailed proposals for all budgets.

My project is small, will Nevo take it on even if it’s small?

Absolutely!  Whether it’s an ensuite renovation or a 10,000 sq’ new build, we will develop a design for it.  Providing full designs for all scopes of work is our jam.

Do you provide furniture?

Yes.  As part of our turn-key offering, we sell and install custom curated furniture packages for our client’s new space, finishing the project perfectly and to its fullest potential.

Can you help me pick a paint colour?

N.D.H.  specializes in providing our clients with a complete design.  Because a design is a collective of many details, we don’t offer consulting with clients to help them select individual design elements.  

Is Nevo familiar with the building process?

Yes, we have worked alongside the construction industry and understand the build process. In fact, we have been told multiple times by contractors that they greatly appreciate having us part of the team during the construction process.

Yes!  Many of our clients don’t live in Kamloops and many of our projects are built outside of Kamloops yet within B.C.
